Wine Notes | Some leaner lime, grapefruit and freshly cut grass aromatics combine with passionfruit and green apple characters, giving this wine so much intrigue on the nose. Flavours of lime, stone fruit, nashir pear and lees derived complexities adding a creaminess in the mouth. Brilliant intensity of flavour, but is held in check by a strict line of acidity. |

Mount Mary
Mount Mary is one of Australia’s iconic, family owned single vineyard estates. It is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Victoria. Established in 1971, three generations of the Middleton family have dedicated themselves to producing limited quantities of premium wines of elegance, longevity and distinction.
Mount Mary remains truly family owned and operated. David Middleton, son of the late founders John and Marli Middleton, his wife Victoria and their three children Claire, Sam and Hugh are all involved with Mount Mary. The family are carrying forward the vision, knowledge and achievements of John Middleton. They recognise the importance of preserving the practices that underpin their reputation as producers of fine wines.
All of Mount Mary’s wines are made from estate grown fruit and are produced and bottled on site at Mount Mary. It is critical that best environmental practices are observed in the vineyards. The wines crafted with the gentlest of techniques to obtain their full potential and age ability. The fact that they are entirely self contained in all parts of the process is extremely important to them and this philosophy has been central to who they are since day one.
The four Mount Mary vineyard estate wines are comprised of two blends traditionally grown and made in Bordeaux (Quintet and Triolet) and two varieties traditionally grown and made in Burgundy (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay). These wines reflect the region, vineyard and the season in which they were grown. Mount Mary believes that each of their estate wines have exceptional ageing and cellaring potential. The Mount Mary Triolet is no exception.
