Wine Notes | Alluring, lifted aromas of thyme and red cherries with an underlying spicey complexity exploding from the glass. The wines soft silky texture and fine-grained tannins surround bright red fruits and crunchy acidity which gives it freshness and length. |

Pyramid Valley
The wines of Pyramid Valley are born in the dramatic limestone and clay derived soils and slopes of the estate in Waikari, North Canterbury. A unique high-altitude site that is home to some of the most profound Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines in the world. Grown biodynamically and following natural principles in winemaking with the use of indigenous yeasts, natural fining and minimal, if any, filtration, Pyramid Valley create wine that breathes of its place and tastes of nowhere else on earth.
At the pinnacle of the Estate are the Botanical wines. These parcels have been named according to the dominant botanicals in the meadow from their beginnings as a vineyard in 2000. Pyramid Valley have created a new dimension for fine New Zealand wine, illustrating the incredible impact of this remarkable vineyard on the sense of wine.
Working with exceptional growers in Marlborough, North Canterbury and Central Otago, Pyramid Valley also craft it’s own Appellation wines. The collection includes a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from North Canterbury and a Pinot Noir from Central Otago, somewhat like the village wines of Burgundy. And, like Burgundy and the Loire, we will celebrate single vineyard and small block parcels named after the heritage of the vineyard, culture and people. The Pyramid Valley Central Otago Pinot Noir showcases the best the region has to offer.
