Wine Notes | Dark fruits, pomegranate, plum, spice, pepper and subtle menthol and eucalypt characters swirl from the glass. A pretty palate with classic merlot softness of chocolate and creamy fruits. Smooth blackberries and blueberries with hints of cherry cola. Soft, plush and velvety. Sticky pork ribs are just the thing to enjoy with this. |

Parker Coonawarra Estate
John and Faye Parker established Parker Coonawarra Estate in 1985 after a career-long interest in the region. Today, the privately owned Parker Coonawarra Estate is committed to John Parker’s standards of excellence. Consequently, the winery is committed to producing the most faithful expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the celebrated Terra Rossa soils of the Coonawarra growing region. This famed terroir has always been considered the epicenter for classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon.
The winery’s first release of the 1988 vintage of First Growth was met with outstanding success. The wine won the Penfold Hyland Trophy in Perth and in the same year was judged the 6th highest rated Bordeaux-Style in the 1991 International Wine Challenge in London. As a result, the Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth quickly became an icon premium wine of Australia. For over a quarter of a century, Parker Estate and it’s famed Terra Rossa Cabernet has won numerous wine show medals, trophies and accolades for several wines within the range. Subsequently, they have achieved a Five Star rating by James Halliday and Langton’s Classification V for Excellence.
The stable of Parker Coonawarra Estate wines has expanded over the years. In addition, the classic Coonawarra Cabernets are now bracketed by Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot. Parker Estate Terra Rossa Merlot is just one of the stellar wines in the line up. A special release from a sub-region of the vineyards that produces exceptional South Australia Merlot, and will only get better with age.
